Founded in 1948, Sociedad Española de Beneficencia (SEB) was born from a singular, noble purpose: to serve as a safety net for the Spanish community in the Philippines.

The Internos are the heart of our residential community. These individuals are elderly members of the Spanish and Filipino communities who often lack family support or the financial means to cope with the complexities of ageing.

The Externos program is designed for elderly Spanish and Filipino individuals who still live within the community—either independently or with family—but require a helping hand to maintain their health, dignity, and quality of life.

La Paella Gigante is more than just SEB’s most iconic fundraiser; it is a vibrant celebration of our Spanish roots and a powerful engine for our charitable missions.

The collaboration between the SEB and the Hermanitas is a testament to what is possible when resources meet a dedicated spirit of service. Together, we ensure that every senior in our care knows they are seen, they are valued, and they are loved.

By partnering with the Santa Maria Josefa Home, SEB ensures that every "Interno" receives professional nutrition, high-standard hygiene, and profound compassion.
