ABOUT US

History
Founded in 1948, Sociedad Española de Beneficencia (SEB) was born from a singular, noble purpose: to serve as a safety net for the Spanish community in the Philippines. Over the decades, our mission has evolved into a broader, vital calling—protecting the dignity of both Spanish and Filipino elderly in need.
Sociedad Española de Beneficencia is a private, purpose-driven foundation dedicated to honor and care. Since 1948, we have transitioned from a community relief fund into a leading donor institution specializing in elderly care, providing a sanctuary for those at risk of neglect or social isolation.

Our Principles

As a PCNC-certified, DSWD-accredited, and BIR-recognized donee institution, we provide our partners with absolute transparency and institutional excellence. To ensure the greatest impact, we operate through a principle of Collaborative Advantage:

  • Synergy in Guardianship: We partner exclusively with specialized third-party experts to ensure our residents receive excellent elderly care.
  • Stewardship of Trust: Our resources are managed with clinical prudence in partnership with expert fund managers, ensuring that every donation fuels a sustainable legacy of care.

Our Vision

A dignified life for Spanish and Filipino elders in need.

Our Mission

To elevate the quality of life for the Spanish and Filipino elderly in need by providing holistic support of general welfare care, dignified residential accommodation, counseling and  burial support. Through our DSWD and PCNC-accredited framework, we transform collective generosity into specialized, life-changing care.

Accreditation

A Foundation Built on Trust: Our DSWD & PCNC Accreditation

At Sociedad Española de Beneficencia, our commitment to the elderly is matched by our commitment to institutional integrity. We are proud to be fully accredited several times by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and certified by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC). These high-level accreditations serve as a "Seal of Good Housekeeping," verifying that our programs meet the strictest national standards for elderly care and financial accountability.

As a duly recognized Donor-Donee institution, SEB provides our partners and donors with the assurance of full transparency and the added benefit of tax-deductibility for their contributions. When you support SEB, you are not just giving to a charity; you are investing in a professionally managed, government-vetted sanctuary where every peso is optimized to provide dignity for our seniors.
